Why This Exists

Ricco Johnson founded Powerhouse Housing out of a belief that stable housing is the foundation of everything else — employment, recovery, family, and dignity. Without a safe place to sleep, none of the other pieces can fall into place.

Based in St. Peters, Missouri, Ricco saw firsthand the gap between the demand for transitional housing and the available supply. 32,882 veterans are currently homeless. Thousands more are in recovery, re-entering society, or simply in need of a structure that believes in their potential.
